Dental Bridges
Complete your smile with secure, natural-looking bridges
What is a Dental Bridge?
A dental bridge effectively fills the gap left by a missing tooth, completing your smile and enhancing your comfort. It acts as a small yet strong restoration, supporting adjacent teeth and enabling confident eating, speaking, and smiling.
Types of Dental Bridges Offered by Turklinika Dental Center
1. Traditional Dental Bridge
A traditional bridge typically involves three to four crowns placed consecutively. Healthy natural teeth or dental implants at both ends of the gap are essential since these anchor the bridge securely.
Traditional bridges are particularly suited for back teeth, where stability and strength are critical.
2. Maryland Dental Bridge
Maryland bridges feature a false tooth with metal or ceramic wings on each side. These wings are bonded discreetly to the back of neighboring teeth, securely filling the gap.
They're ideal for front teeth, as they aren't designed to withstand the heavy forces exerted on back teeth.
3. Cantilever Dental Bridge
Cantilever bridges involve a false tooth attached to a single dental crown, which is cemented onto just one adjacent natural tooth or implant.
This type of bridge is ideal for front teeth, particularly near the canine area, but isn't suitable for back teeth due to high chewing pressure.
